Abstract / Description:AMPA receptor subunit modification and composition are major parameters for the size of
the synaptic strength underlying learning and memory processes. In addition, ion flow
through AMPA receptors can be strongly modulated by receptor−associated proteins. But
how does the AMPA receptor associated proteins influence receptor function? To develop a
tool that can address this question in cell culture, a stable GluA1−expressing HEK293 cell line
was generated using a multiprotein expression system.
