Abstract / Description:Signals from electrons and muons taken at testbeams with different
modules of the ATLAS Liquid Argon Calorimeter have been compared to
corresponding simulations using the GEANT4 toolkit. These simulations
have also been compared in some detail with GEANT3 predictions.
Results for signal linearity, energy resolution, and shower shapes all
generally indicate a good agreement between experiment and the two
simulation packages, typically at the level of a few percent.
