If this hypothesis is true, these systems might be still surrounded by a distinct and detectable stellar population similar to that of their progenitor galaxies. We have designed a systematic photometric survey of Galactic globular clusters to unveil the possible remnants of the systems where they were formed and estimate their contribution to the Galatic halo.
