Abstract / Description:We report on our follow-up program of a sample of young T Tauri binaries, which were discovered in the early 1990s using speckle interferometry or lucky imaging techniques. In the first phase of this survey we plan to re-observe about 30 T Tauri pairs in the northern sky using lucky imaging with the 1m RCC telescope at the Piszkéstető Mountain Station, Hungary, or with the AstraLux Norte system on the 2.2m telescope at Calar Alto. The long baseline of more than 20 years gives us an opportunity to detect the orbital motion of the companions. In some of the systems it may eventually also be possible to determine the orbital parameters yielding model-independent system masses. These masses complemented with spectroscopic data can enable us to characterize the systems and examine the influence of multiplicity on the evolution of planet-forming disks.
