  • Scripts and documentation for data exchange between eDoc and CMS
    Under the eDoc ID [206486] you can find a collection of scripts which convert data from eDoc XML standard to CMS MPG XML standard.
    A documentation of the XML-Schema used internally in the CMS MPG system (NPS5) can be found under the eDoc ID [206487].
  • Scripts for the transformation from eDoc Export XML to eDoc XSL-FO schemas
    Under [https://srv4.zim.mpg.de/projects/edoc_support/browser/edocxsl] you can find a collection of scripts which convert data from eDoc XML format to XSL-FO format and the respective description.

The protection of Intellectual Property Rights of the author is a crucial issue in the ubiquitous network of scientific information, especially in an Open Access environment.

The Max Planck eDoc-Server is an ongoing project. Based on feedback by and in collaboration with Max Planck Institutes, the Heinz Nixdorf Center for Information Management in the Max Planck Society (ZIM) will further optimize and extend the functionality of the eDoc-Server to ensure that it serves the needs for a competitive, multidisciplinary research community.

    Anyone who is working for or is affiliated to an MPG institute, research unit or dependent unit can register as user on eDoc, even if the affiliation is temporarily restricted.
    Please contact your local eDoc-Manager for registration and corresponding rights.

    As unregistered user you may browse and search the eDoc Server. Nevertheless, you may see only entries which have passed already the local quality control of collection moderators and collection authorities.
    Please be aware that access to fulltexts depends on the access level given by the author resp. the moderator of a collection.

eDoc Forum:

For the informal exchange of eDoc related issues, the ZIM created the eDoc-Forum mailing list.
It serves as an unconstrained platform for anyone using eDoc. The contributions will be read by the eDoc support team to give answers/recommendations if possible. Additionally, the ZIM will use the mailing list for announcement of news concerning eDoc.
